Daunt Books are very sad to share the news that the writer Elisabeth Russell Taylor has died at the age of 90.
Russell Taylor was born in 1930 in London, and grew up in Hampstead and St John’s Wood. She was the award-winning author of six novels, I is Another, Pillion Riders, Mother Country, Divide and Rule, Swann Song and Tomorrow (republished by Daunt in 2018). She also wrote three short-story collections, four books for children, and five works of non-fiction. Her work was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and has been translated into numerous languages.
